I had a thorough dental hygiene overhaul given by Melanie and her assistant. This was followed by an in-depth appraisal of dental status at which Mr Nick Leaky provided advice for the well-being of my future dentition. As a result I am having a bad tooth removed in the near future, much to my relief.

This was my first visit here and I felt compelled to say what a wonderful experience I had . Firstly Jenny on reception was so warm and welcoming , a friendly face is just what you need when walking into a dentist fills you with anxiety. I had a hygienist appointment with Joanne which I was so nervous about due to having bad experiences elsewhere. I needn’t have worried , Joanne explained everything and kept reassuring me throughout and checking I was comfortable. Not only was the treatment painless, my teeth looked and felt brand new afterwards . We visited Westgate Dental Clinic yesterday, and I honestly couldn’t have been more impressed with how kind, helpful and understanding everyone was. I normally have to go upstairs to see the dentist, which is becoming increasingly difficult for me. The hygienist is downstairs, and a lovely lady called Christie was absolutely wonderful. She arranged for me to see both the dentist and hygienist in the same room, so I no longer have to struggle with the stairs. Everyone was so kind, patient and sympathetic, and they made what could have been a difficult visit feel so much easier. A huge thank you to all the team, and especially to Christie for going that extra mile to make things accessible and comfortable for me. Excellent care and, most importantly… no more stairs!

Such a friendly environment at Westgate - everyone wants to help achieve a good outcome. Today Christie went to a lot of care to remove a food object embedded uncomfortably behind my gum. I think she enjoyed the challenge and we had a laugh about it. Thank her very much for her constant support over many years.

I had various concerns regarding my dental situation and was keen to receive advice as to how to improve these issues. I found Joe to be an excellent dentist with amazing people skills. He made me feel very positive about my teeth, and I am now working with him to improve my dental health.

After receiving excellent treatment for a filling by my Dentist Kate last week, I had returned today, just to check all was okay. As ever, from Jenny the wonderful Receptionist, to Katie my Dentist, my experience was first class! It was a joy whilst waiting to be called to my appointment, to have the chance to chat with Nicolette the Practice Manager and to see Adriana the Dental Nurse (who has held my nervous hand on many occasions!) into the bargain! Bonus!

Had a wisdom tooth extraction - the atmosphere in the surgery was welcoming and relaxing. The procedure I had been dreading was quick and painless. I left the surgery with clear instructions for my after-care whilst the cavity recovered and felt confident that I had chosen the right practice to take care of my dental needs.

My consultation was with the amazing Joe who sat and listened to me and all my worries and immediately put my mind at ease and then my first ever hygienist appointment with Gaby who was just so lovely and my teeth look and feel amazing! Also Jenny the receptionist is the sweetest loveliest lady who gives a sense of calmness and kindness when you first walk in. This was provided with great care for my mouth, and expert design of the denture. Treatment today was to make minute but important refinement of the lower denture. This was provided a mere 30 minutes after my initial request
Ryan explained everything perfectly. I had an old Crown tooth that was wobbly. He removed the tooth with no pain and my mouth is feeling so much better now. Excellent service and made me feel at ease

Nobody looks forward to going to the dentist, but Ryan prepped a molar 3 weeks ago and fitted the crown this week and it was the most relaxed I have ever been (in a dentist's chair ). Super professional in describing the process and his work was quick, but not rushed, and utterly painless, even the injection was well delivered. Great result and no issues at all. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I've been going here for 3 years as a self-funding patient and they are always friendly and efficient. I book the hygienist followed by the dentist, usually 6 months ahead to ensure a convenient time. As with many dentists, they never miss an opportunity to remind me of my responsibility for self-care, but I find it helpful to know it makes a difference!
A very positive experience in terms of staff explanations, as well as listening to my concerns about the procedure. Skilled in terms of techniques, personable in approach, helping me to relax before and after having my tooth extracted. I would highly recommend this dentist. Useful also to have a hand-out to follow during the recovery period at home. The staff on reception, as usual were helpful, efficient and pleasant, reacting swiftly to my request for an appointment asap. The practice also has a reliable reminder system by e-mail and SMS about upcoming appointments.

I have been a patient at the Practice since we moved to Winchester 7 years ago and asked a local GP who she would recommend. Since then, we have received excellent and professional treatment in a pleasant environment from people who treat us as people, not 'cases'.

Ryan was very friendly and took time to have a chat beforehand and gave electric toothbrush demo, as he knows I’m not a big fan of the dentist and always fearing the worst. He was overall happy with the results of my oral hygiene as I had taken on his advice and comments from previous appointments. Christie fabulous as always!

Just back from having a replacement filling and couldn't be more satisfied. Booking process a week or so ago was very easy, reception staff are lovely, helpful and professional. Very welcoming and positive today. Was called through by the dentist, Joe, similarly welcoming and put me at ease. Checked I was there for the correct procedure , talked me through what was entailed and then very efficiently started work. Lots of checking back everything was OK. He very slickly removed the old filling and decay and then refilled with white acrylic. No fuss, all very smooth and painless! Feels a great result so I’m very pleased.

My visit to Westgate Dental Clinic was excellent, as usual. Christie, my hygienist, is delightful and always a pleasure to see, together with a gentle but thorough approach to her job. Then Ryan, my dentist, is so easy to talk to and helpful in his treatment of my dental health.
As a nervous patient they work very hard to put me at ease, also they are helping me look after my teeth and gums to minimise the amount of work I need. When I have work to be done they discuss the options with me their costs and they enable me to make informed decisions about my treatment.
My family have been coming here for 15 years or so. Some faces have changed over the years, but the service has always remained excellent throughout.

I'm really happy with this dental clinic. It's easy to book appointments and they're often available quite soon. I needed to get a filling replaced and was able to book this in the following week with no problem. The staff at reception are very friendly as is the dentist Ryan who's also very informative and gives lots of advice on looking after your teeth.

I have been a patient at this practice for nearly 30 years. I have always found my visits there to be very good experiences and although my dentist has recently changed due to retirement this standard has continued to be the case.
I was really nervous leading up to my appointment with new dentist but I was put at ease by the lovely receptionist Jenny and the rest of the team. Joe is a really good dentist. He engaged with me, talking me through everything and helped me feel calm. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I was surprised that I enjoyed my trip to the dentist and won't be afraid next time.

I find dental appointments a very scary experience. Unfortunately, I had also had bad news about a family member so my emotions were very near the surface. Not a good mind set for going to the dentist! Ryan was very kind and considerate and talked me through the procedure. It took a while but was painless if a bit uncomfortable. I was a mess to start with and appreciated the calm reassurance of both Ryan and the nurse.
Today, I visited Ryan at Westgate. I was going to have a replacement crown. First of all and importantly he checked to see if I was still happy with what we discussed at my last appointment four weeks ago. He checked my teeth and the filling that was there and explained that it might not be the right treatment at this time. He spent time going through all the options with me and I felt very much at ease that he had my interests at heart, he was not just doing the financial gain. Such a lovely person and so helpful.

I needed emergency treatment for a broken tooth on Good Friday. Given the lockdown and the fact it was a bank holiday I thought my chances of finding a dentist were slim to non-existent. How wrong I was. Michael not only opened his surgery just to treat me he also charged me a modest amount for my treatment. I'm incredibly grateful and now pain free.

The view and advise for treatment has always been completely open, honest and very reassuring. I thoroughly recommend the team for all your dental requirements. I have been going to Westgate Dental for nearly 20 years and have always had professional treatment delivered in a competant, friendly and convenient manner.
After years of living in different countries and different dentists I had extensive work done to replace old dark fillings with new white ones - 2 three hour sessions, a crown fitting, and a bite tune up and done ... I'm really happy with my bright new smile. Michael has a great painless injection technique, makes you feel comfortable with what he will do and the results, and I've finally found a dentist for the rest of my life to rely on. The whole experience was calm and serene and I would highly recommend Westgate Dental to anyone, plus my wife loves the hygienist too in a " professional and pleasant surgery" to quote her. We are both happy with the service and even got a call the following day to check that I was ok after the major work I had done which was unexpectedly wonderful and caring, a rarity in today's world. I've been going to Mr Meyer since I had a critical and awful, experience with a crowned tooth from a different dentist. He patiently took me in even though he was fully booked, and I have been going to him for the past 15 years. He's care for you as a patient surpasses anyone I've ever been to. He's thorough and very gentle and he's all about your well being (of course that of your teeth as well) and you never get the idea that he will suggest or do work for the sake of financial gain. Friends whom I recommended to see him ( they were petrified of going to the dentist and had had some really negative experiences) all think he is the best dentist there is. Everyone working at Westgate Dental is great and I always feel that the service one gets is of the highest standard. Very highly recommend Mr Meyer and he's team.
